Product Description

David Arthur 2011 Estate Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc is a fantastic find. This Sauvignon Blanc is organically grown in Yountville and sourced from older vines of roughly 34 to 38 years of age. The Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon were picked on the same morning in 2010, a few weeks later than previous years, as it was cooler vintage. The wine aged on lees for 8 months, then was blended and lightly filtered prior to bottling. A true white Bordeaux blend with combined barrel fermentation, this wine delivers strong varietal character with a long palate, and many layers of flavor. A light pale straw color with tint of green offers aromas of citrus blossom, pineapple, white fig and grapefruit with hints of green tea and toasted almonds. The palate is focused and clean with moderate weight and concentration. It showcases flavors of ripe pineapple, white peaches and Asian pear. The acidity is mineral and almost chalky with a crisp and long finish” -Nile Zacherle, Winemaker
