When Perry and Carolyn Butler arrived in California in 1982 they first worked in the computer industry in the Bay Area and were later bitten by the wine bug. Fifteen years later they founded their winery, the name of which is derived from both Carolyn’s and the Bulters’ daughter’s name: Justine. “[This wine has flavors and aromas of] blackberry and cherry, tobacco, cigar box and sweet oak. [It also has notes on the palate and finish that is] full-bodied and rich …[and] silky tannins,” Perry Bulter, vintner.
